Details
FLORE BLISS LANE SP6460 (East side) 11/91 Meadow Farmhouse - II Farmhouse. C17, and 1825. Coursed squared ironstone and limestone in alternate bonds, plain tile roof, brick end and ridge stacks. 4-unit plan. 2 storeys and attic; 4-window range. Principal front to garden has central C20 door with overlight and gabled hood, flanked by 3-light ovolo stone mullion windows with hood moulds to ground and first floor, that to left blocked with brick. A similar window to far right with blocked door to left with stone jambs and lintel, and C20 window with timber lintel to first floor above. A C20 patio door to far left, a C20 casement window to first floor replacing mullions with moulded stone jambs and hood mould. Stone coped gables with kneelers. Left gable end has 4-light ovolo stone mullion window to ground floor, and similar window to first, and one-light window with stone surround to attic, all with hood moulds and blocked by inserted end stack. A 2-storey wing to rear left with datestone in gable inscribed TM/l825. Back door with 4-centred arched head and old plank door. interior: chamfered spine beams, stone flagged floors, and open fireplace with moulded bressumer.
