MERIDEN WALSH LANE 1. 5108 Walsh Hall (Formerly listed under Walsh Hall Lane) SP 2582 24/395 11.11.52. II*

2. C15 nucleus enlarged C16 with modern additions. Main block contains remains of C15 hall, of which a 16 ft bay remains intact with original roof truss. Gabled exterior timber framed on ashlar base, whitewashed plaster infilling, red brick chimneystacks with offsets, joined diagonally set shafts. 2 storeys and attics, 3 gable ends and 1 1st floor oversailing on cut console brackets. Lattice casement windows. Modern red brick wing in keeping. Interior: newel staircase with turned balusters, stone fireplace surrounds with carving, carved door in porch with mask roundels and foliage. VCH, IV, p 149.
