7/94 Court Farmhouse and adjoining barn (formerly 29.9.52 listed as Court Farmhouse)

Farmhouse and adjoining barn. Dated to C14 by RCHM, extensively remodelled during late C16 or early Cl7 and late C18, C20 alterations. Sandstone rubble with Welsh slate roof, corrugated metal roof to barn. House aligned east/ west, extended to east during C18, east gable-end stack and main axial stack to west of centre; east of centre entrance. Four-bay barn adjoins to west with west of centre threshing floor entrance. Two storeys. South front: four windows, two 3-light glazing bar casement windows with segmental heads to left and similar 2-light and 3-light windows to right; forward projecting gabled porch with inner ledged door, loop vents flank entrance of barn to left. Interior not inspected but recorded as retaining C16 ceiling beams and C17 door (RCHM Vol I, p 222).
