CRANWORTH RIVER LANE TG 00 SW Southburgh 10/13 Willow Farmhouse 4.12.51 II

Farmhouse. Circa 1600 and later. Rendered timber frame and rendered brick rear and side extensions. Thatched roofs. Lobby entrance type plan with C18 rear extension blocking original entrance and forming a T plan. 2 storeys. Facade with 4 late C20 hardwood mullion and transom casement windows with imitation cames. One surviving C18 3-light window with metal casement and leaded glazing. Modern gabled porch. Rear facades also with C20 casements except for one C19 2-light casement window at first floor level with "cheese room" in painted letters, on a panel, above it. Off-centre axial stack to main block and a staged external stack to rear extension. Interior. Blocked lobby door with a 4-centred head. Chamfered beams with elaborate stops. One room with angle rolls to common joists. Staircase in original position but probably altered. Clasped purlin roof.
