Mansion. 1783 according to Whites Directory, 1785 on rainwater hoppers.
Brick with some stone and slate roofs. 3 storeys with a low ground floor. Facade of 5 bays of sash windows with glazing bars beneath skewback arches. Front door to "piano nobile" reached by double sweeping staircases with metal railings. Panelled 2-leaf door with traceried semicircular fanlight and stone doorcase with pilasters and overlapping architrave. Moulded stone and gault brick dentilated cornice with parapet. North elevation with full height apsidal bay with 3 semicircular headed first floor windows. Lower service wing to rear.
Interior. Stone staircase with square sectioned iron balusters, modern iron scrollwork and swept mahogany handrail. Traceried fanlight in hall. Drawing room with screen of pilasters and a pair of fluted columns with Ionic volutes to capitals. Some original plaster cornices.
