2/42 The Green Bridge at Fanhams Hall 240m NW of house
GV II
Footbridge over larger lake in gardens. 1901-5. Element in elaborate Japanese garden layout laid out by Prof. Suzuki to design of Mr Inaka for R B and A E Page Croft. Timber painted green. Single span of about 8 metres. Timber steps at each end and bridge sloping up to centre from both sides. Triangulated open wood balustrade with external raking struts from projectinq transverse timbers. A picturesque garden feature.
