TL 31NW WARE RURAL MARDOCKS 5/65 Mardocks Farm Cottages
GV II
Farmhouse, now 2 houses. C18, enlarged and refaced in early C19. Plastered walls of older S range exposed only at gables, yellow brick elsewhere with old red tiled roofs. S range built along slope of 2-storeys and attics, 3-windows. Pilasters between the windows and twin pilasters at ends. Internal gable chimneys and central entrance. Segmental gauged arches to lower windows. 6- panel door with flat hood. 3-light casement windows. Parallel early C19 N ranqe has 2-storeys attics and gambrel roof. Symmetrical 3-windows N front has floor band, pilasters, casemented dormer and central door. Segmental arches to triple- sash windows. Smaller window over door. Part glazed flush- panelled door. Large early C19 single-storey brewhouse linked to NW corner.
