SE 72 NE LAXTON FRONT STREET Church Farm and 10/102 attached outbuildings

II Farmhouse. Mid C18, enlarged and altered mid C19. Brick with C20 concrete tile roofs, 3 gable stacks. L-plan. 2 storey. South front, 3 bay with central 6 panel door with fanlight and wooden pedimented door surround. Eitherside are single canted bay windows with 3 plain sashes each. Above central plain sash with flanking tripartite casements with segmental heads. To left attached single storey outbuildings. East front has off-centre doorway with plank door, with to left a 2 light sliding sash and to the right a canted bay window with plain sashes, above 2, 2- light sliding sashes. INTERIOR: Interior contains a fine mid C18, single flight and return staircase, with 2 turned balusters with knops per tread and a moulded ramped handrail. Ground floor reception room east has dado panelling and built-in cupboards, first floor bedroom west has C18 style fireplace and flanking round headed cupboards, a similar C18 style fireplace and flanking round headed cupboards, a similar C18 fireplace in bedroom to east. Throughout good 6-panel doors in surrounds.
