Detached house. c1900. By Amos Faulkner; built by William
Willett & Son. Red brick. Tiled hipped and gabled roofs with
dormer, tall brick slab chimney-stacks and swept bracketed
eaves. Asymmetrical design. 2 storeys and attic. Irregular
fenestration of 3 windows. All windows with glazing bars.
Projecting left hand entrance bay with wide timber porch
having barrel vaulted hood with modillion cornice and coffered
intrados supported on stone Ionic columns; double panelled and
part-glazed doors. A 3-light window at 1st floor level with
red brick and stone chequered parapet with small stone
pediment. Central bay with projecting ground floor having a
4-light transom and mullion window and tiled penthouse roof
sweeping up to 1st floor 4-light window. Right hand projecting
gabled bay has 5-light canted bowed bay through ground and 1st
floor; small window in gable with stone apex.
