II

Farmhouse. C17, early to mid C19. Flemish-bond brick to front, on ashlar plinth, brick-nogged timber-framing to rear, tiled roof. Three-window front, one room deep; 2-bay rear wing at right angles, both 2 storeys. Front: 6-panel front door up 2 stone steps, set off centre to left; top 2 panels glazed, rest plain, under open, single-storey, gabled porch, with timber posts. Either side one 3-light casement window, each 8 panes, stone sill, rendered lintel lined as voussoirs. First floor similar window each side, with 2-light one above front door. Wide, plastered soffit to eaves, hipped roof. External brick chimney left return, lateral on right at rear of front section. Cellar door on right return. Rear wing, 2-panel high framing per floor, wider set and lighter on yard side, heavier on rear. Verandah, open front, timber posts, to ground floor on yard side. Lean-to to gable not of special interest.
