Rock Farmhouse

(Formerly listed as Rock Farmhouse, ROCK PITCH (south side))

II

Farmhouse. Late C16 or early C17: altered late C20. Rendered
panels to timber-framing, stone plinth, tiled roof. 'T' plan,
each arm 2 bays, angle infilled one side, 2 storeys. Gable to
road: brick replaces sill above plinth: 2-light casement;
boarded stable door in end leanto porch on right. First floor
weatherboard to bressumer, 2-light casement, weatherboard to tie
beam gable truss, cambered collar over. C20 brick chimney left
return. Right return, to yard: late C20 leanto, half-glazed,
timber-framed on left: abuts framed corner infill on right;
gable, 2-light late C20 window in centre, weatherboard to bressumer
over. First floor, framing single-panel high over leanto on left;
2-light casement. Leanto roof to corner infill, extending gable
on right; small window in top. Two-light casement, late C20, in
gable, weatherboard to tie beam over, cambered collar, angle
struts, one pair clasped purlins. Large external stone chimney
breast right return, tiled offsets, brick top. Interior not
inspected.
