Shown as Snygges Rood on O.S. map. House. Probably C16, C17,
altered C20. Brick-nogged timber framing; thatched roof;
rendered wall to small extension on right, tiled roof. Three
bays, 1½ storeys, one room deep. To road: external brick chimney
on right return, tiled offsets. Infilling angle to corner leanto
rendered extension. To left 3 panel high framing, fairly heavy
timbers, for one bay: 4-pane window in bricked-up doorway. To
left framing 2 panels high, brace from main post to wallplate.
C20 two-light casement; 2-light casement to left, possibly
replacing doorway; possibly infilled large window to left, 2-light
casement over in swept dormer. Brace corner post to wallplate:
gable chimney on ridge on left. Interior not inspected. Single-
storey flat roofed extension on left not of special interest.
Forms group with Copelands and Chartist cottages (q.v.).
