GV II

Cowhouse and stable: probably mid C18. To front and left return flattish stone with larger quoins to corners to ground floor, weatherboarded timber-framing above,to rear and right return. Corrugated iron roof. Three rooms long, lofted. Left return blocked window ground floor and loft. Front, boarded door on left, 3-light open window, diagonally-set square bars between mullions, flat head, no lintel. Three-light, originally glazed window, no lintel, replacing door. Boarded door to right, large quoins to left jamb: blocked opening above. To right 3-light window, boarded door; beyond timber-framed wall on low stone plinth. Interior trough and rack in left room; centre room timber partition left, originally faced by animals, stone wall on right with cupboard recess. A rare survival: forms unusually complete group with house and barn (q.v.).
