CROOMS HILL SE10 1. 4412 (West Side) Nos 54 to 60 (even) TQ 3877 26/G33 II GV 2. Mid C18 terrace. Each house 4 storeys and basement, 3 windows. Multicoloured stock brick with parapet in front of slate roof of moderate pitch. Stone 3rd floor string. Store band at ground floor level. Basement stuccoed. Gauged, flat brick arches to recessed sash windows with glazing bars, all replaced. Nos 54 and 60 have wood doorcases with panelled reveals, rustications at wall face with head on keystone, attached Doric columns, entablature and pedimented cornice with mutules. No 58 has door replaced by window. No 56 has imported Ionic porch with panelled soffit, moulded and mutuled cornice and pediment. Door of 6 beaded panels in round arched opening with moulded architrave, impost blocks and keystone. Panelled reveal and radial fanlight. 3 windows inserted, one on each floor, above left side of door to No 56. Whole terrace restored and turned into flats by Beaver housing society. All the listed buildings on the West Side of Crooms Hill from Nos 54 to 68 form a group.
