2. Early C19 pair, each 2 storeys and basement, 2 windows in main block, with 2-storey, set back entrance extensions. Fairly low pitched, hipped, slate roof. Multi-coloured stock brick. Stuccoed front with projecting, stucco box cornice. Wide, flat pilasters at angles and inside outer bays, narrow recess on axis. Replaced sash windows with glazing bars in plain reveals under segmental arches, except ground floor centre. French doors in curved bays. These open to wood balcony of 6 delicate pointed arches with fancy latticed spandrels and frieze. Wrought-iron area railings. Entrance extension to No 1 has 1st floor 4-light window of 1-bar casements. 3-panel door with bracketted hood on ground floor. Entrance extension to No 2 has blank 1st floor, 3-panel door with bracketted hood and a replaced sash window on ground floor. Steps at either end and balustraded outer raised level, possibly an addition.
