Nos 17 and 17A: early C18 building of brown brick with red brick dressings and tiled roof. Two storeys and attic, three windows each. Small central gables with attic windows. Segment-headed sash windows with glazing bars in exposed box frames. Some windows of No 17A blocked. Six-panel doors, top glazed. No 17 has G.L.C. blue plaque commemorating residence here of A.E. Housman, during which he wrote "A Shropshire Lad".

No 19: early C18 house of brown brick with red brick dressings. Two storeys and attic, five windows; and slightly projecting two storey, one window north addition. High pitched tiled roof with three segment-headed dormers. Stone coped parapet. Segment-headed sash windows with glazing bars in exposed moulded frames. Door of eight-fielded panels, top glazed, in rusticated jambs. Doric doorcase has fluted pilasters, triglyph frieze and modillioned cornice with segmental pediment.

No llA, Nos 13 and 15, Nos 17, 17A and 19, The Sycamores and No 23 form a group.
