Details
ELIOT PLACE SE3 1. 4424 Nos 4 & 5 No 5A TQ 3976 10/115 II GV 2. Originally a late C18 pair of 1792 each 3 storeys, attic and basement, 2 windows. Brownish red brick with parapet. Slated mansard roof with 1 square dormer. Bright red gauged brick flat arches to sash windows, mostly with glazing bars, in stucco lined reveals. Some windows replaced. No 4 has West wing of slightly later period, 3 storeys and attic. lst floor window 3-light under segmental gauged brick arch. Ground floor rendered with cornice. 2 later 4-panel doors and I window inserted. No 5 has door now half-glazed under patterned rectangular fanlight flanked by Corinthian pilasters supporting entablature with paterae and urn in frieze. This appears to be a reproduction. No 5A was a wing of No 5. Early C19, 2 storeys, 1 window. Multicoloured stock brick with parapet. 3-light 1st floor sash window with glazing bars, flat headed under segmental gauged brick arch. Rendered ground floor has 4-panel door with plain rectangular fanlight and modern bay window.
Nos 1 to 8 (consec), The Wedge and Forecourt Walls form a group.
