BLAKE HALL ROAD 1. 5027 E11 Pair of gatepiers at entrance to Overton Drive (formerly listed as Gate pier in the grounds of No 65 and Gate pier in the grounds of Overton Court) TQ 48 NW 5/13 20.12.54 II* GV 2. Probably early C18. Pair of Portland stone piers of rusticated form with applied pilasters having enriched panels and Corinthian capitals, cornice and pedestal, finials missing. The sides of the piers bear the interlaced monograms of Sir Richard Child, first Earl of Tylney. Part of the Colen Campbell rebuilding 1715-22. One of the original entrances to Wanstead Park.
