Farmhouse, now house. Probably late C16 - early C17, largely remodelled c1840. Part timber-framed, painted infill on sandstone rubble plinth, brick replacement walling and additions, plain tiled roofs, paired diagonal brick stacks at rear right, remains of brick stack to left front ridge and two brick chimneys with offsets at left side. Possibly original range of three framed bays on west/east axis with single bay wing to rear west end bay; c1840 a two-bay brick range was added to north gable end of rear wing which was also extended eastwards to square-up the plan; two storeys and attic.

Framing: five square panels from sill to wall-plate; long straight braces in lower corners and tie-beam truss with two collars in west gable end with queen struts and V-strut in apex,

West front elevation: central single bay flanked by cross-wing gable ends of c1840 to left and original range at right; central bay has three-light first floor casement and, at ground floor level two rectangular lights flanking a gabled, timber-framed porch and half-glazed double doors with a moulded architrave; left gable end has two pierced, decorated bargeboards and moulded finial, timber-framing in gable and two large ground and first floor three-light casements,the ground floor one having a cambered head; right gable end has a ground floor four-light and a first floor three-light casement and an attic light. At the centre of the right side elevation is a C19 two-storey, gabled and timber-framed porch wing with scalloped bargeboards and moulded finial.

Interior: main beams are stop-chamfered; first floor of present front central bay has wall paintings of birds and flowers, the design appears to be of eastern inspiration; C19 rear central addition has panelled ground floor room, incorporating some C17 panelling and C17 carved figures in chimney overmantel; C19 staircase with spiral balusters.
