14.3.69 GV II
House divided into cottages, now single dwelling. Early Cl7, altered mid-C19 and restored late C20. Timber-framed, partly repaired and replaced with rendered infill, plain tiled roof with pair of star-shaped brick chimney stacks to main ridge. Four framed bays including chimney bay; single storey, attic with dormers and cellar. Framing: three panels from sill to wall-plate, collar-and-tie-beam trusses with queen struts and V-struts in apex. Front elevation: doors and windows all of C20 date; three 2-light casements, a rectangular light, a 2-light casement to stair landing immediately below eaves level and a pair of 2-light casements; four gabled dormers all have 2-light casements; entrances at centre and left end bay both have lean-to porches, the left side one is supported on brackets and the other on uprights. Attic lights in gable ends. Interior: roof at right end has some C19 timber including a board ridge; two rows of trenched purlins and intermediate collar-and-tie-beam trusses with queen struts; back-to-back inglenook fireplaces, winder staircase to rear of chimney; cellar beneath right end bay with access through floor. C20 lean-to brick extension at left gable end.
