29.12.52 - II
Farmhouse. C17 with mid-C19 and mid-C20 alterations and additions. Timber-framed, painted brick infill, brick replacement walling, sand- stone rubble base, plain tiled roof, external chimneys at gable end, left gable end of sandstone with detached rebuilt brick stack, right end one is brick with tiled offsets. Two framed bays; two storeys. fill: four square panels from sill to wall-plate, long straight braces in lower corners and collar-and-tie-beam trusses with queen struts and V-struts in apex. Front elevation: scattered fenestration; one 3-light C19 and two 2-light C20 casements at ground floor level and two 2-light C20 casements, a 2-light C19 casement and a 3-light C19 casement at first floor level; C20 gabled glazed porch to left of centre and a C20 multi-paned door. A small, timber-framed outshut encloses the left external chimney, having a 2-light casement in the front elevation. Interior: intermediate collar-and-tie-beam truss and a row of trenched purlins. Brick outshut with catslide roof at rear and two single storey brick wings adjoin to rear left.
