- II
Farmhouse. C17 with mid-C19 and mid-C20 alterations and additions. Timber- framed with painted brick infill, replacement walling and additions, tall sandstone rubble and brick plinth, plain tiled roof. Two framed bays aligned north/south; C20 external chimney with offsets at south gable end; C20 single-bay addition at north gable end continuing main roof ridge. Single storey and attic with dormers. Framing: three panels from sill to wall-plate, long straight braces in some lower corners; no trusses visible. West front elevation: original part has a 2-light and a 3-light casement and a half- glazed door, all have plank weatherings; C20 part to left has a ground floor 3-light casement and a gabled dormer with 2-light casement. Attic lights at gable ends. Interior not inspected, but said to retain much of its framing. Lean-to addition at north gable end.
