SEDGEBERROW CP WINCHCOMBEROAD (east side) SO 0258 - 0358 8/147 23/5 Mill Cottage 30-7-59 - II
House. C17 with mid-C20 alterations and additions. Timber-framed with painted brick and rendered infill on limestone rubble base and with limestone rubble end walls. Thatched roof, half-hipped at west end with C18 brick stack at west end of ridge. Two framed bays aligned east/west with large internal chimney at west end. Single storey and attic with dormers. Framing: three panels from sill to wall-plate. North front elevation has three ground floor 2-light C20 case- ments. Main entrance at west end beside chimney and has a C20 hipped-roofed thatched porch on timber posts and a C20 door. Attic lights in gable ends. South elevation has an eyebrow dormer with a 2-light casement and a lean-to addition with a catslide roof, a C20 door and flanking lights. Interior is said to have retained its large fireplace.
