- II
Farmhouse. C14 or C15 hall with cross-wings of C17, altered during late C19; further C20 alterations. Timber-framed core now largely refaced with brick and C20 timbering; brick later additions, C20 tiled roof. Hall range of three bays aligned south-east/north-east with flanking cross-wings; these have been further extended to north-east and to north-west. Axial and lateral stacks. Two storeys with raised roof to hall range. North-west front: 3-light C20 casement window on both floors to left of gabled porch with ledged door; gable end of cross-wing to right with decorative, though much replaced, diagonal framing; two 2-light C20 casement windows on first floor and one single-light and one 2-light casement below. Blank wall of hall range to right with doorway to right of cross-wing; C20 glazed door. Blank brick gable end of second cross-wing to far right. Interior of hall range reveals three almost intact cruck trusses with open-arched bracing to central truss with moulded details.
