- II
Farmhouse. Late C17, extended early C19 with some mid-C20 repairs. Coursed rubble with dressed quoins and slate roof. L-plan, C17 range to north, C19 range to east. Main stack placed laterally on west wall of C17 range is of rubble with three flues within a rectangular pilastered shaft of brick. South front of two storeys, with gabled C17 range to left which has a gable-lit attic. The first floor has a 4-light window, over a canted bay with hipped slate roof. The range to the right has two glazing bar sashes under timber lintels. Ground floor has a 4-light case- ment under a segmental brick head to right, and entrance to the left with a 4-pane overlight and a ledged and boarded door. Interior has corner fireplaces with bolection mouldings. That in south room is reported to have a cast iron fire back inscribed: "1967/ RAS". (RCHM, 3, p 174, no 20).
