13/55 The Poor House (Nos 1, 2 and 3)

Shown on OS as Corner Cottage. House, now three houses. C17, with some mid-C18 alterations and a late C20 extension. Timber-frame with painted brick and rendered infill on a rendered plinth, tile roof. Three framed bays aligned east/west, with an external gable-end stack to west, with brick shaft on rubble base. A similar stack placed axially between the two eastern bays. North front of two storeys with four windows which are casements of two, one, three and two lights. Ground floor also has four casements, of two, three, three and two lights. Entrance to No 2 to left of centre, to No 3 in right-hand gable end, and No 1 in left-hand gable through C20 lean-to extension. Framing: four square panels high with straight angle braces. East gable truss has four struts to collar with V-struts to apex.
