Details
MANSELL LACY CP - SO 44 NW 4/65 Ivy Cottage (previously 20.2.53 listed as post office and dovecot) GV II Cottage. Probably C17 with later alterations. Sandstone rubble, coursed sandstone rubble and timber-frame with tiled roof, hipped to east. Large sandstone stacks. Rectangular plain aligned east/west. One storey and attic. South elevation has 1:1 windows, late C20 casements with gable front in sandstone to right. Main range has gabled dormer with 3-light casement and similar casement beneath set in framing. Framed gabled porch to left with mid-C20 door. Gable has 2-light casement to each storey and and seven rows of nesting holes with ledges above first floor level. Ledged door to left-hand side. Frame has three panels from plinth to wall-plate. Interior inaccessible at time of re-survey, (February 1987). (RCHM, Vol III, p 147).
