Mid-C18 or earlier origins, altered in mid-C19. Sandstone rubble with machine tiled roof. Two bays aligned north/south; former external chimney with stone- tiled offsets, lean-to bread oven and C19 brick stack (now partly incorporated into the main wall surface) at the north gable end. Single storey and attic. Windows are C19 casements. West elevation has two ground floor 3-light windows and a central C19 ledged and battened door. A lean-to verandah adjoins the west elevation and continues round the north-west angle where it is bricked in to form a storage area. At the north gable end is a doorway and an attic light; external sandstone and brick steps lead up to an attic doorway. The stonework in the gable suggests that the roof has been raised. Interior: large fireplace and bread oven. Cider Mill adjoins south end. Rubble with slate roof. Two bays. Two levels. The west elevation has a wide doorway and external rubble steps leading up to a loft door. Interior: cider mill and press are largely intact. Hop kilns adjoin rear of kitchen range and are C19. Brick with slate conical roofs and no cowls. Circular plan. Cogged brick eaves cornices. Openings with cambered heads in east elevations. Interior: entrances to kilns lead off passageway to rear of kitchen. The drying floor survives in the northernmost kiln.
