Details
BODENHAM CP BODENHAM MOOR SO 55 SW 5/30 Brook House II House. Probably mid- to late C17 with mid-C20 alterations and additions. Timber-framed with painted brick infill on sandstone base, some sandstone and painted brick replacement walling, and partly hipped slate roof with brick stack at right side. Three framed bays aligned north-east/south-west with shallow gabled projection to rear of south-west bay and external rubble chimney with brick stack at north-east gable end. Two storeys. Framing: irregular but mainly five panels from sill to wall-plate. North-west front elevation: windows are all C20 casements of two lights, three per floor. Main entrance in south-west bay has a C20 gabled porch and a half-glazed C20 door within. There is a C20 lean-to addition at the south-west end with a C20 garage door. Also C20 lean-to glazed addition at rear. (RCHM Herefs II, p 16, item 40).
