Farmhouse. Early C18 with some late C19 alterations. Brick with ashlar dressings and hipped slate roof, external stacks to end walls. Two storeys with moulded stone cornice, ashlar quoins and brick band to ground floor. South front: 2 + 1 + 2 windows, the central part slightly advanced with a pediment, windows are alternating 3- and 2-light casements under wedge lintels. Central entrance has moulded stone architrave with semi-circular head and a two-leaf half-glazed door. Rear wing of ashlar terminated by a first floor granary. (BoE, p 289; RCHM, 3, p 182, no 17).
