Details
LAYSTERS CP SO 56 SE 8/34 Wilden 11.6.59 II Farmhouse. C17 with cross-wing added or rebuilt during C18, late C19 alterations, further C20 alterations. Sandstone rubble refacing or re- building, timber-framed rear wing with part brick infill, sandstone rubble plinth and stacks with brick shafts. Welsh slate roof. T-shaped plan with earlier wing aligned north-east/south-west and later wing added at north-east end. Entrance to centre of north-east front, gable-end and axial stacks. Two storeys, attics and cellars. North-east front: three tripartite plain sash windows set in altered openings, central doorway with plain porch, half-glazed door. Interior: late C17 staircase with turned balusters, moulded handrails and square newels, splat balusters to attic flight. Chamfered ceiling beams to earlier wing to rear.
