Details
PUDLESTONE CP SO 55 NE 10/62 Gateway, flanking lodges and flanking 23.7.75 walls to Pudlestone Court (not listed) II Gateway, flanking lodges and flanking walls. 1846. Sandstone rubble with dressings of the same material. No roofs. Tudor Gothic style. Central Tudor arched gateway with gable over and blank rectangular recess in gable, flanked by similar headed arches to pedestrian access with iron gates. Further flanked by rectangular lodges of two storeys with two string courses, embattled parapets and octagonal turrets to each corner with panelled top stage. One 2-light mullioned window with label to first floor with 3-light window without label to ground floor. High stone walls flank the lodges to a distance of approximately ten metres with flat coping and buttressing.
