7/189 Bateman memorial approx 20 m south of Chancel of - Church of St Mary
GV II
Pedestal tomb. Early C19. Sandstone ashlar. Square with rebated corners. Stepped, moulded plinth and moulded capping with squat urn-finial, band of fluting with paterae at edges runs along top of each inscription panel, inscriptions largely illegible, one on south face commemorates John Bateman, died 1828.
