WORCESTER ROAD 1. 5245 (East Side) SO 7746 SW 2/15 The Foley Arms Hotel SO 7746 SE 3/15 30.11.49. II GV 2. 1810 by Samuel and John Deykes, with wings of 1812 and 1817. Three storeys in stucco with moulded cornice and parapet. Seven windows, the 2nd 5th and 7th from the north breaking forward slightly. The central bay has bay windows flanking a French window in a bay to the 1st floor. Plain arched moulding with gilt lettering above one window. Royal Arms above blocking course. Good canopied wrought-iron balcony to 4 centre windows of 1st floor, wrought-iron trellis work continued along cornice below 1st floor. Three-light canted bay to the right. Ground floor has round-headed doorway with radiating fanlight and double doors. Modern centre doors. Modern trellis work to ground floor. Queen Adelaide and Queen Mary both stayed in the hotel.
