1. 5264 BRIGG ROAD (East Side)

Baysgarth (formerly listed as Baysgarth House ) TA 0321 1/7 21.9.66.

II* GV

2. Circa 1731. L-plan. 2 storeys and attic in red brick with hipped pantiled roof. Brick band between storeys. South front has 6 dash windows, 1st floor cutter flat arches. Central door and blocked oblong fanlight in fielded panel reveal, surround of Roman Doric half-columns, entablature and pediment. Moulded and dentil eaves cornice. 6 windows to ground floor with wood surrounds and cornices, blind cases, 2 windows as doors. let floor raised stone tabet with achievement of arm and date on pediment. Similar doorway to rear elevation with radiating fanlight. Victorian gothic tablet to Hall.

Baysgarth, the gate piers, garden wall, lodges and former stables to Baysgarth form a group with No 2 Caistor Road, which is of local interest.
