3/21 Mulberry House (formerly listed as The 16.12.66 Mulberries)

- II House. 1783 on date plaque. For William Chaplin. Brick in Flemish bond, pantile roof. Central-hallway entry. 2 storeys, 3 bays. Plinth. C20 half-glazed door with radial fanlight in pilastered doorcase with dentilled open pediment with date plaque over. Sashes with glazing bars throughout those to ground floor with replacement external shutters. Flat rubbed brick arches to all windows. Hipped roof. Stacks to rear. Interior: open-string staircase with 2 column-on-vase balusters per tread. Original Adamesque fire surround to right reception room. Plain fire surround to left reception room. 6-fielded panel doors throughout. Cast-iron hob grates to main bedrooms and dado rail to master bedroom. Original drop bolt lock to door of master bedroom. Hand-cut timbers to roof. Simple A trusses with tusk-tenoned purlins.
