19/95 Barn approximately 20 metres west of No 35 (Home Farmhouse)

GV II

Threshing barn/granary. 1809. Yellow-brown brick. Pantile roof. Rectangular on plan. Forms north side of courtyard. 2-storey height, 2 first-floor openings to north side. Central board door beneath segmental stretcher arch flanked by 2 pairs of twin breathers to each side. Pair of pitching hatches above with board doors on wrought-iron strap hinges beneath segmental header arches, each flanked by twin breather slots. All breathers blocked. Stepped and dentilled brick eaves cornice. C20 repaired stone- coped gables with shaped kneelers. South side has central waggon entrance beneath C20 steel lintel, (replacing former timber lintel) flanked by 2 tiers of twin blocked breather slots. East gable end has basket-arched relieving arch just above ground level, 2 pairs of blocked breather slots at ground and first-floor levels, single pitching hatch similar to north side; 2 pairs of breather slots, diamond breather and wrought-iron figures "09" to gable.
