Two houses attached. Mid C19 formerly one house built by Robert William Mylne, architect and antiquary. Red brick with yellow brick at rear. Ground floor front of stucco lined as ashlar below a moulded string. S part (Home Lodge) has a steep gabled roof of old red tiles as has N-crosswing of N part (Walton Lodge), but slated roof between. Irregular E front to lane with 2 projecting gabled wings if different size with sinuous bargeboards, pendants and a casement window with toplights on the upper floor in each. In Walton Lodge this takes the form of a canted oriel with moulded corbelling. Small square headed windows on ground floor and projecting gabled tiled porch with moulded segmental headed doorway in stucco. 4-panel flush leaded door with rectangular fanlight with fan design. Wind vane on S gable. Tall red brick wall with tiled offsets and moulded string on return extends to S 14 metres. S front (Home Lodge) of 2 unequal gabled wings with upper floor apparently added. Bay windows to ground floor and cambered gauged red arches to upper floor. Higher W gable half-hipped. Part of picturesque group.
