Details

THE PANTILES 1. 1746 (North West Side) Nos 60 to 72 (even) TQ 5838 NW 1/17 20.5.52 II GV 2. A range of Cl8 houses, all built out over the colonnade except for No 72. 3 storeys. 13 windows in all. Nos 60 and 62 are fronted with painted wood, grooved in imitation of masonry. Nos 64 and 66 are stuccoed, No 68 is fronted with weatherboarding and Nos 70 and 72 are tile-hung. Eaves cornice. No 60 has a 3-light bay window on the lst and 2nd floors. Nos 60 and 62 have pilasters flanking them. Glazing bars missing from Nos 64, 66 and 68. No 72 is set back, forming a right angle with the other houses, does not project and has no arcade in front of it. It also has an addition of lower elevation with a rounded corner at the back in London Road. No 64 has a Regency style interior. Nos 2 to 28 (even) and Nos 38 to 72 (even) form a group.
