HORSMONDEN SMALL BRIDGE ROAD TQ 73 NW (south side) 4/106 Park Farmhouse GV II

House. C16 or earlier, clad and extended C17 to mid C19. Timber framed and clad with red brick on ground floor and tile hanging on first floor with plain tiled roof. L-shaped plan with lobby entry main block. Two storeys and garret with continuous ground floor verandah on braced timber posts, returned to left return wing, and with roof hipped to left and half-hipped to right with tall moulded stack to centre right and offset and projecting stack to front left. Four wooden casements on first floor, alternating 2 and 3 lights, and two 3 light casements on ground floor with boarded door to centre right. Two wooden casements on each floor of left return wing, itself with massive central stack cluster with three moulded and lozenge set flues, and with deep catslide outshot to rear. At least one of these large framed wings may have a hall house origin.
