Details

FRITTENDEN MILL LANE TQ 84 SW (west side) 3/38 Barn and handpump 15.2.88 attached, about 10 metres south of Broadlake GV II Barn and handpump. C17 or earlier and mid C19. Timber framed and weather boarded with plain tiled roof and slate roofed extension. Hipped roof with outshot to left and lean-to to right, with half door to left, central full height carriage doors flanked by mullioned windows and carriage doors to right. Boarded corner door at end right with rectangular fanlight over, and cart doors to right return. Interior: 4 bays with outshot; unaisled with clasped purlin roof, with eccentric bracing and cambered tie beams. Stable in lean-to at right, and attached to right return wall a mid C19 cast iron hand pump, with fluted and domed top, curved handle, and inscribed: 'Warners, London.".
