Details
CRANBROOK HIGH STREET TQ 7736 SW (north side) 9/179 Nos 65-67, (ODD), (formerly listed as No 65, Ivy Cottage, Cottage adjoining (Occupier 20.6.67 Pethurst), Crown Cottage & Dunoon) GV II
House, now house pair. C16, clad in C19. Timber framed and clad in painted brick on ground floor with tile hung first floor. Plain tiled roofs, with return gable to left, half hipped with gablet and taller return gable to right, again half hipped. Tall brick stack to rear at left, and lower brick stack to right at rear. Both return gables jettied over ground floor, that to left underbuilt. 2 storeys and attics. Irregular fenestration of casements with 1 window in each gable, and 4 windows on both floors, those on ground floor all in square bays under the gables flanking the two entrances, both with boarded doors. The bays to left are topped by a small pentice roof, as are those to right. Carriage-entrance through to rear in centre with some exposed framing.
