CRANBROOK GOUDHURST ROAD TQ 73 NE (south side) 3/128 - Dogkennel Farmhouse - II
Hall-house, now house. Early C16 with late C17 or early C18 extensions to right. Clad in C19. Timber framed and weatherboarded on ground floor; tile- hung on first floor. Plain tiled roof, hipped to left and half hipped to right. Tall ribbed red brick stack to left, two further stacks to rear 2 storeys; irregular fenestration of 7 windows on first floor, 6 windows on ground floor. Paired half glazed doors to left. Gabled cross-wing to right on rear elevation with catslide extension to left. Interior: Substantial timber-frame with arched tie-beams in roof.
