LAMBERHURST THE BROADWAY TO 6636-6736 (west side) 8/245 Bridge House GV II

House. C16 or earlier, altered and extended C17 and C18. Timber framed and weather boarded with some red and painted brick on ground floor and with plain tiled roofs. Main block of 2 storeys with roof hipped to left with stack cluster to centre left and gabled to right with stack and stepped down to right to later additional range. Two storey and attic C17 gabled wing projecting at left, probably originally jettied to first floor with surviving jetty on brackets to attic. Single light in attic gable to left with 3 light wooden casement on each floor below with boarded door to right on ground floor and blocked mullioned window on right re-entrant elevation. Main block with 3 light casement on each floor and 4 light window to centre left in raking projecting outshot. Right end wing with 2 light casement on each floor and catslide outshot to rear. Late C20 car porch with tile hung floor over attached to left return.
