Oast Kiln range at Harmansole Farm TR 15 SE SP/61

II GV

2. Oast kilns. 1871 and extended in 1889 on SW with a further kiln on South. Red brick. Plain tile roof. Square kilns; double kiln at NE end with plain tile roof; cowls removed.

North elevation of two storey 1871 hop storage range of roughly five bays. From east end, a window above and below; pivot window to loft; thirdly, window below; plaque dated 1871; loft door with hoist and gable; fifthly, a window. North elevation of 1889 hop storage extension faced partly with vitrified bricks. Wide segmentally headed ground floor doorway with loft door above it; plaque inscribed "JBW 1889;" secondly, a window to both storeys. Interior retains hop kiln furnaces and wooden slatted kiln floors.
