Details

1. 5280 CHEVENING CHEVENING Chevening Road (West Side) Nos 6 to 8 (consec) TQ 45 NE 41/99 lO.9.54. II GV

2. Late C17 house of 2 storeys, 6 windows, now divided. High pitched swept, hipped tiled roof with rebuilt chimneys. Moulded wood eaves cornice. Red brick walls, first floor band. Some Cl9 ground floor rebuilding with blue headers mixed. c19 casement windows with glazing bars, those on ground floor under finely gauged brick arches. Restored segmental arches on left return together with door of No 6 plain borded under bracketed cornice hood. On front, door of No 7 in original door position with carved brick keystone and cornice hood on heavy carved brackets. on lst floor above this a carved brick dentil cornice and broken pediment with egg and dart. Fire insurance sign in apex. Plain boarded door in moulded wood architrave. Similar architrave to door of No 8 at right, 6 fielded panels under cornice hood on scrolled brackets.

Nos 1 to 12 (consec), garden wall to Nos 10 to 12 (consec) and Lennard Lodge form a group.
