2. C15 timber framed building, probably a hall house. Large, long-hipped, tiled roof, one gabled dormer. 2 storeys, 3 windows. Tall, C16 compound central chimney stack. Tile hung 1st floor. C19 red brick ground floor with diaper of blue headers. C19 and modern small casements. Old plank doors in stout frames. Roof extends down at both sides to give ground floor lean-tos. Right return and rear show exposed framing with plaster filling. Long, 2-storey, timber framed, gabled rear extension, with 1-storey pent end.
Nos 55 and 56 shall be amended to read Withers.
