House. Late C17 or early C18 front to earlier timber-framed building with early C19 additions. Red brick in English bond with traces of red paint and possibly tuck pointing. Plain tile roof. 2 storeys and attic an moulded plinth with plat bands above ground and first floor windows. Parapet in Flemish bond of chequered red and grey brick. Rear stacks to left and right. One C20 flat bracketted hood and C20 rectangular fanlight. Half-glazed door on hook and ring hinges. Central 3-storey rear stair-turret. Rear wing to right: C16 or C17 timber framed, with later brick nogging. 2 storeys on stone plinth. Widely spaced studs. Rear wing to left: early C19 front of chequered red and grey brick with plain tile roof. 2 storeys on plinth, with stack at right end. Interior: 3-storey late C17 staircase with turned balusters, balls above and below newels, and moulded hand rail. C18 niches. Exposed framing in rear right wing.
