ROCHESTER STAR HILL TQ 7468 SE 10/246 No 12 (Medway Conservative Constituency Association HQ 23.8.74 & Club) GV II Former house with club rooms attached. House late C18, much altered; House, rendered brick; Welsh slate Mansard roof. 3 storeys and attic. Front: single-bay range. 6-pane sash to dormer. Single late-C19 tripartite sash to each floor under crudely rendered brick cambered and segmental window arches. 6- panel fielded door in wooden architrave with simple brackets and pediment; arched fanlight without glazing bars. Coped parapet and cornice band. Club rooms attached, red brick, painted stone dressings. 3 storeys, symmetrical 3 window range in a vigorous High Victorian Italianate. Centre window bay under pediment, side bays with segmental gables; all 1st and 2nd floor windows with heavy stone architraves of varied design (2nd floor centre window replaced with C20 casement); 1st floor side windows with French doors onto balconies with iron railings. Central doorway with pronounced entablature and fluted pilasters. Double doors, panelled.
