LUPTON A65 SD 58 SE (North side) 15/121 Foulstone 16.2.62 G.V. II

House, now 4 houses. Datestone reads: "EBA/1655", roof raised and east extension C18, west and north extensions and porch bay C19. Roughly coursed rubble with slate roofs. 3 storeys, 3 bays, with central projecting gabled bay and 2-storey 2-bay extensions to west and east. Central bay has quoins and ball finial. Centre part has dripcourse to ground floor, returned to west and interrupted by sashed window to 1st bay, with glazing bars and horns; return window; 3rd bay has 3-light double-chamfered-mullioned window, one mullion missing and inserted sash, small-paned glazing; fire window to right. 1st floor has sashed window with glazing bars to 1st bay, 2nd bay has paired sashed windows with single glazing bars, round heads and moulded frame in chamfered opening with label mould; 3rd bay has 4-light double-chamfered-mullioned window, 2 mullions missing, with label mould. 2nd floor has 2 single-chamfered- mullioned windows, one light to each blocked, one light with small-paned glazing, that to 3rd bay with bull's eye panes. Round-headed entrance has panelled pilasters and archivolt, paired panelled doors; inner door has moulded opening, label mould and studded door. Large gable-end stacks. Extension to west has lean-to conservatory, sashed windows with glazing bars to 1st floor and part glazed door. Extension to east has sashed window with glazing bars and horns to ground floor, signs of former window; 1st floor has small-paned windows, one pivoted. Entrance has porch with pointed arch and flat arch to door. Rear to north has gabled wing with gable-end stack, 4-light double- chamfered-mullioned window with label, and 3-light window to 1st floor, entrance to right with large overlight. West extension of 3 bays sashed and pivoted windows with glazing bars, slope stack, small gabled wing with flag roof and pointed entrance. East extension has long window with small-paned glazing and bar holes; 1st floor 1- and 2-light doubled-chamfered-mullioned windows; long single-storey wing with bellcote to end. Lean-to canopy, carried round east side of wing. West return has entrance and larger entrance to right; wing has pivoted doors. Interior has stone stair with iron balusters and rail; large segmental-arched fireplace recess with masons' marks.
